Huntington, NY 11743
There are several routes to access Long Island in terms of bridges and tunnels from all directions. These directions are based on horse-trailer friendly (or commercial vehicle) access. All crossings take EZPass (much faster) or cash.
From Upstate New York:
Follow the 87/287 south/east towards the Tappan Zee Bridge.
After the bridge, follow 287 East, go through White Plains, towards 95 South.
Take the 95 South to the Throgs Neck Bridge. Stay in left lane as you approach, it will say 95/695/295 and New York City.
The Throgs Neck Bridge is the 295, cross bridge, stay in middle lane. Stay on the 295 (Clearview Expressway) off the bridge and follow to the 495, or Long Island Expressway (LIE).
Follow directions below
From the East/New Jersey:
The New Jersey Turnpike North or the 80 East from Pennsylvania will take you all the way to the George Washington Bridge/95 (GWB). Take the GWB across the Hudson River, stay in the middle or left lane. This turns into the Cross Bronx Expressway (still 95); continue straight.
Take the exit to cross the Throgs Neck Bridge. The Throgs Neck Bridge is the 295, cross bridge, stay in middle lane. Stay on the 295 (now called the Clearview Expressway) off the bridge and follow to the 495, or Long Island Expressway (LIE).
Follow directions below
From Eastern Long Island:
Take the LIE West and exit at 110 North/Huntington. Follow 110 North, also called New York Avenue past Walt Whitman Mall, all the way into the town of Huntington. Once in town, TURN LEFT on Main Street/25A. Go 4 blocks and TURN RIGHT on West Neck Road. Follow West Neck Road for 10 more minutes. It will turn into Lloyd Harbor Road half way through, make sure to go the speed limit because the cops will ticket!
You will go down a big hill and the Long Island Sound will be in front, then on your left, then behind you, and you will see "Caumsett State Park" entrance sign. TURN LEFT up the hill into the park. Stop at the kiosk and tell them you're going to the barn. At the next stop sign, TURN LEFT, you can see the barn in front of you. Turn Right into the barn driveway and parking is along the driveway.
**Please drive slowly down the driveway and yield to any horses!
"Directions Below"
Take LIE/495 East towards Eastern Long Island (you will exit to the right and then the exit will split and East will be to the left).
Exit LIE at exit number 44 North, Seaford/Oyster Bay Expressway/135 North.
Exit the 135 at exit 14 East, which is the second to last exit, stay in right lane. It will say Jericho Turnpike/Woodbury/25 East. This will put you on Jericho Turnpike headed east.
Turn LEFT onto Woodbury Road, which is the 4th light. Follow this road for a few miles and as you go up a hill, there is a signal and signs showing Woodbury Road to the left. TURN LEFT and continue on Woodbury.
After a few more windy miles, you will come into the town of Huntington. Woodbury Road becomes West Neck Road after you cross the signal at Main Street (25A); keep going straight. Follow West Neck Road for 10 more minutes. It will turn into Lloyd Harbor Road half way through, make sure to go the speed limit because the cops will ticket!
